“In their third season at NYFW S/S 2014, Falguni and Shane Peacock showcased space age cyber couture. In Falguni’s words the inspiration for the season was “Space age day dreams. The colors were shades of blues, white, dreamy with a lot of metallics. The cuts were very Sci-Fi modern with a lot of subtle embellishment.”At the show Paris Hilton was wearing a blue sequin dress FSP dress with strategic cutouts from which an underlying blue peeks out. The models wore studded acrylic headgears. The looks defined over-the-top glam space age cyber couture.”
MOON LANDING
“Falguni Shane Peacock have always believed in not blending in. Their iconic moon landing photoshoot is testament to the same. The designers shot embellished gowns and bridal lehengas with a sci-fi twist. The electrifying collection was shot by Vikram Bhawa in the nature surrounded with space age details. Shane fondly remembers this as one of his more challenging yet special photoshoots.”
FALGUNI SHANE PEACOCK X IBM WATSON
“Falguni and Shane have not shied away from experimentation since the inception of their fashion house. The duo decided to use IBM’s new artificial intelligence programme- IBMWatson to create a new collection. The AI helped the fashion duo create their new collection called Future of Bollywood Fashion by analysing around 600,000 publicly available historical fashion runway images for the past decade (2006-2017) spanning the ‘Big Four’ fashion weeks (London, Paris, Milan, New York). In order to understand Bollywood fashion trends, IBM Watson analysed close to 5,000 Bollywood celebrity images from various social media sites, besides 3,000 fashion-related images from the history of Bollywood in the form of Bollywood movie posters across 4 decades, the 1970s, 80s, 90s and 2000+.”
