While fashion fads may continue to be in and out, there’s one thing that stays relevant: the stylists who set trends, give incredible prowess and gravitas to stars and redefine the role of fashion. Style icons like Hailey Bieber and Bella Hadid owe a lot to their stylists too for cultivating their effervescent personal styles. Over the years, celebrity stylists like Kate Young and Dani Michelle have emerged as major styling forces changing the course of fashion and recontextualising the perception of celebrity style. Who can forget Selena Gomez’s bubblegum pink and black Givenchy dress or Kourtney Kardashian’s leather and feather look! These singular and original looks drive Instagram fans crazy leading to an array of trending reels and tutorials. The Peacock Magazine decodes the metier of some noteworthy stylists, who can be credited for revolutionising street style and creating some iconic celebrity red carpet looks.

Briana Andalore

Born and raised in New York, stylist Briana Andalore is the brain behind Julia Fox’s remarkable looks. If Fox became a pin-up sensation for embracing daring fashion choices, then it’s all thanks to Briana’s vision. The Schiaparelli cone bra denim jacket worn with an itsy bitsy denim top became all the rage and was easily the most talked about look with style watchers sharing it left, right and centre. The comfort and terrific rapport that Briana and Julia share are reflected in the fun looks they put together. In an interview with Dazed magazine, Briana shared, “Dressing her is so much fun–it’s not like a job, really. We’re just hanging out and I’m saying, ‘you need to put this on, or we need to lower this or cut this’.”

Mimi Cuttrell

Dividing her time between New York and LA, ace stylist Mimi Cuttrell has lent her incredible styling genius to some of the biggest names–be it Ariana Grande, Maude Apatow, Madelyn Cline or Gigi Hadid. In her collaboration with Gigi Hadid, she shared with Coveteur, “#styledbymigi kind of happened in our first fitting. The first look that she put on, she said out [loud], ‘Hashtag styled by Mimi.’ And I said, ‘Oh no, styled by Gigi.’ Then she said, ‘Styled by Migi.’” All in all, Mimi’s creative alliance with Gigi has been a playful, collaborative effort resulting in a series of memorable looks. Fun, effortlessness and a great understanding of each other’s tastes and sensibilities make them tick.

Donté McGuine

Donté McGuine is many things to many people. An acclaimed stylist, a fashion editor, and a creative director, she has become a culturally significant figure in the New York fashion industry. From infusing his creative genius in designer labels to working with Vogue Italia, he’s worn many hats. And perhaps this prolific body of work and versatility has garnered him a legion of loyal and diverse clients like Evan Mock and Vic Mensa. Moreover, he also collaborated with Mock to create the clothing brand Wahine.

Law Roach

Credited for Celine Dion’s epoch-defining fashion transformation, Law Roach has worked with some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry, including Ariana Grande, Zendaya, Monica Brown, Brandy and Jessie J. After moving to Los Angeles, he was introduced to Zendaya, who became his first major client. Aside from the Emmy-winning actress, Roach has also worked with Bella Hadid, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, and Halsey. Last year, he also collaborated with Falguni Shane Peacock show to style their runway showcase at New York Fashion Week which elicited an overwhelming response. The collection comprising glam-leisure dresses, jumpsuits and separates was styled with his inimitable glam-rock flair.

Kate Young

With a following spanning over 8,12,000 followers, stylist Kate Young regularly shares styled looks on social media. And one mega-wattage client who makes her presence felt on her account is singer, actress, and Rare Beauty founder Selena Gomez. However, Young is also the styling genius behind some of Fifty Shades of Grey actress Dakota Johnson’s most memorable Gucci looks. Her other famous clients include Julianne Moore, Sophie Turner, and Margot Robbie.

Kat Gosik

We’ve always been intrigued by Selling Sunset’s Christine Quinn’s statement-making outfits. And Kat Gosik is the stylist behind it all. Sexy, subversive and unapologetically glam–that’s Kat’s personal style, which also spills out in her body of work. Her client list includes the likes of Tyrann Mathieu and Lele Pons. One of her significant looks was styling Sydney Sweeney in Agent Provocateur leopard print lingerie. Moreover, she’s also styled shoots for Playboy and GQ Magazine, and athletes for their games.

Dani Michelle

Looking for some kickass ideas to nail a model-off-duty look? Turn to stylist Dani Michelle, whose clients include fashion’s ‘it’ girls–Kendall Jenner, Hailey Bieber, and Kourtney Kardashian. Also worth mentioning are some of the game-changing looks like Bieber’s nude sparkly dress from 16 Arlington and Kendall Jenner’s floral Dolce & Gabbana set that she wore during her big sister’s wedding festivities. However, Dani’s personal style is rather comfort-driven, consisting of basics like skinny jeans and a silk blouse.

Maeve Reilly

Maeve Reilly knows the art of making an outfit instantly pop. It’s hard to forget Megan Fox’s completely see-through Mugler dress at the VMAs. This provocative look almost broke the internet! Moreover, she has also worked with Hailey Bieber and TikToker Dixie D’Amelio.
