UNSTOPPABLE – MANUSHI CHHILLAR
Last year Manushi Chillar became a household name when she won the Miss World crown for the country 17 years after it was last won. The 21-year-old Manushi, who is now the glamorous face of leading campaigns and brands, was born to doctor parents and chose the same path until the universe unfolded its plans for her. From a demure medical student to a youth icon and social activist with a renowned crown, Manushi has definitely paved her own way to success.
Scouted through a college pageant, Chillar worked up the ladder by winning the regional first than the national pageant and finally bringing the prestigious title home. To being the spectacle-laden nerd, transforming into a world beauty queen, Manushi has come a long way. With the crown comes the responsibility, and within a year since winning the title, Chillar has been actively involved in causes that aid women, along with her initiative for kids that are suffering from cancer. Only a few could put the Bollywood limelight on the backseat to abide by the duties that come with the crown. Apart from garnering positive popularity for her philanthropic work, her sartorial choices have also made her a constant head turner. From her winning moment in a Falguni Shane Peacock couture gown to now gracing the November cover of The Peacock Magazine in a bespoke couture by them, Manushi Chillar has emerged as a true starlet.
