SUNIL PADWAL
Sunil Padwal’s work touches a chord, a chord of nostalgia, anguish, longing, lone, and change. The Mumbai based artist completed his Bachelor of Fine Arts from Sir J. J. Institute of Applied Art, Mumbai, in 1989. Padwal explores the nuances of human life, behavior and importantly, the follies and shortcomings of us as a collective. He has exhibited his work in groups and solos in major galleries around the world, such as Hong Kong Visual Arts Centre, Hong Kong, Agora Gallery, Soho, New York City, Intex Colours on Canvas, Dubai, UAE, Jehangir Art Gallery, Mumbai, among others. Padwal’s works largely focus on the dystopia of Indian society and as an artist, he is dynamic in his approach towards art. He believes that a work of art should not set boredom.
