Honestly, I never wore a red lehenga all my life cause I wanted to save it for the big day but when my mom, sister and I saw this piece at Falguni Shane Peacock we couldn’t see beyond it. I had bought my jewellery before I started looking for my wedding lehenga. I remember I tried it on with my jewellery and everyone’s pleasant expression just made me even more sure about it. It was a perfect balance of traditional & contemporary and completely made me feel and look myself. Falguni, herself, happened to be at the store that time and helped me design my head dupatta.
I feel one should wear a colour they are comfortable in. It is okay to ditch and break the convention of reds and pinks. This is the most special day in every girl’s life and they want to look beautiful and elegant, this can only be done if you wear something that matches your style and not go by the set rules and stereotypes for an Indian Bride. Whether you go with the classic reds and pinks or be experimental, just remember to look like yourself! You’ll never regret your decision then.
