Take to the cultural-chic streets of Harlem and revel in the bling inspired from Falguni Shane Peacock’s ‘Earthbound’ collection that was an ode to the maximal, shiny fashion of the ’80s. Think edgy garbs with power shoulders, rock-chic co-ord sets, unconventionally futuristic short dress-cum-gowns and other highly-stylised silhouettes — making their presence felt in the urbane spaces of Sugar Hill. The embellished fits, which are replete with faceted beads, dome-shaped diamantes, abstract sequins and Swarovski crystals, are a glamorous homage to yesteryear’s fashion. Reimagined gowns, bodycon dresses with risqué cut-outs and feather shrugs are featured in a palette of alluring silver, tough metal, midnight black and royal blue.
