Malika Favre’s art is almost instantly recognizable and has become a pop culture favourite of the masses. The French artist, based in London, is famous for her use of shadows and highlights which defines and gives a pop to the clever colour schemes used in her work. Her pop art has garnered a bunch of high profile clients like The New Yorker, Vogue, BAFTA, Sephora, and Penguin Books, amongst many others. Simple lines and minimalist approach merges to form genius artwork. “Having a deeper understanding of how light and shadow work allows you to decide which shadows are important and which ones aren’t. If it doesn’t add anything, I take it out,” Says Favre.
