Jamie Lee Reardin’s art can be best described as Tim Burton-meets-Dior. Canada-born, LA-settled artist Lee Reardin creates a heady fashion concoction of fashion, fantasy and Goth. The fashion communications and design grad from the Ryerson University, first forayed into art when she illustrated her interpretation of some of the noted characters like Cruella de Vil, the Corpse Bride and Beetlejuice in gazelle-like figures replete with uncomfortably long necks and stick-thin silhouettes. Shortly after, Dior spotted her and appreciated her works by appointing her as the resident artist for the brand. Since then, Lee Reardin has gone on to work with the best names in the fashion industry viz. Burberry, Barbie, Nike, Prada, Swarovski, Salvatore Ferragamo amongst others. Designers like Thom Browne and Christian Dior; and celebrated painters like Picasso and Dali have been a constant source of inspiration for her.
