Celebrated actor Karishma Tanna, who recently tied the knot with her long-time beau and now husband Varun Bangera, knew her dream wedding had to be intimate but packed with fancies and fantasies. Always the one to meticulously put her heart and soul into everything that she does, be it honing her acting chops or visualising her wedding Lehengas, Karishma gave a vivid description of how she wanted her wedding outfit to resonate with the day-wedding vibe. Bringing her vision to life was ace Bollywood and celebrity stylist Anaita Shroff Adajania who instantly knew the outfit had to be light and luminous and from Falguni Shane Peacock – a label that marries the traditional with contemporary like no other. Just like Tanna’s other unconventional choices, the wedding outfit too steered clear of the signature red. Courting the pinks close at hand, the would-be-bride picked a soft, powder pink for her wedding Lehenga. While day-wedding means loads of wanted-unwanted sun-kissed moments, designers Falguni Peacock and Shane Peacock knew that the tulle fabric would be Tanna’s best friend sartorially. The Lehenga was handcrafted on a tulle base with innumerable Swarovski diamonds, crystals, sequins and beads. The foliage and floral motifs were in sync with the wedding decor that was replete with pastel-hued flowers all over. The full-sleeved, plunging neckline blouse of the Lehenga was adorned with Swarovski diamonds and crystals and finished with tassel details. A soft tulle, bordered Dupatta with feather details completed the entire wedding outfit. Anaita complemented the outfit with pale pink and dull mint jewellery to infuse the look with depth and freshness. Needless to say, flowers played a major role yet again as hair adornments and for the bridal entry.
While Karishma was the woman of the hour making a buzz, her husband wasn’t far behind. The groom looked dapper as he stood at the other end of the aisle waiting for his bride. Bangera opted for a classic tone-on-tone Sherwani in the pearl ivory hue with intricate embroidery on traditional motifs to match Tanna’s day-wedding look. The outfit was completed with a Dupatta and a Safaa.
The stylish couple got married against the sunset hues amidst their friends from the film and television industry and family. Soaked in sun and love, Karishma and Varun stepped into the new chapter of their life named ‘happily-ever-after’.
