The Los Angeles-based artist and illustrator has earned a reputation for her unparalleled work that showcases strong women in fashionable getups with bright colours. Her world of art consists of a plethora of inspiring women, tropical plants, floral accents and a dollop of psychedelia. Her works are seen doing rounds of various editorials, fashion magazines, books, advertisements and paintings. A staunch feminist, Karman’s artwork glamorizes vintage styles while creating a pathway to an equal future for everyone. She actively paints and draws the women she has been inspired by in order to ‘weave societal contexts surrounding conventional beauty standards.’ Some of her popular illustrations are for Rihanna x Stance collaboration, The New Yorker, Refinery29 and at the Nike concept store on Melrose, amongst others.
