NYC’s most sought-after Diwali party returns for a successful third edition.
The 2024 edition of the “All That Glitters” Diwali Ball was nothing short of a dazzling spectacle, where pearls, jewels, and an array of gowns shimmered under the soft candlelight. Held at the prestigious Taj Pierre Hotel in New York, the ball is a tribute to the festival of lights and has grown to become one of the most anticipated events in the Indian fashion calendar. This year, it brought together a diverse array of industry leaders, international stars, and supporters for an unforgettable night of dance, fine cuisine, and celebration. Among the stars of the evening were the renowned fashion duo, Falguni Peacock and Shane Peacock, whose presence and designs have become a hallmark of the event’s grandeur.
As hosts, Falguni Shane Peacock shared the limelight with prominent entertainers such as Simone Ashley, Avantika Vandanapu, Tan France, Hasan Minhaj, Jay Sean, and Jessel Taank. The event’s founder, entrepreneur, and philanthropist Anjula Acharia, welcomed guests as they descended the grand staircase into a world of opulence and festivity. Contemporary South Asian flavours infused the evening’s cocktails, and a lavish dinner of regional delicacies heightened the indulgence. After heartfelt speeches from the hosts, the evening reached its crescendo with a high-energy performance by Indian superstar Nora Fatehi, accompanied by Amit Shah’s AATMA Performing Arts dancers. Guests were swept onto the dance floor, immersed in a night of joy, as New York’s Kolkata Chai Co. offered milky-sweet masala chai and platters of Indian sweets to complete the magical experience.
Beyond the glittering facade, the Diwali Ball is also a deep reflection of Falguni Shane Peacock’s mission to blend the richness of Indian culture with modern global fashion trends. Over the years, the designers have been committed to ensuring that NRIs (Non-Resident Indians) feel connected to their roots while also embracing the latest trends. The Diwali Ball is a showcase of this vision, where Indian heritage shines brightly on the international stage. “Our mission is simple: to make India shine on the global stage, one stunning Diwali Ball at a time,” says Falguni Shane Peacock.
Working closely with Anjula Acharia, the designers meticulously curated looks for influential personalities, from Warner Music’s Robert Kyncl and his daughter Isabella to Bozoma Saint John, and actors like Jessel Taank, Hasan Minhaj, Nora Fatehi, and Avantika Vandanapu. Each ensemble was a blend of elegance and modernity, with a distinctive touch of traditional elements and Falguni Shane Peacock couture. The ball, while glamorous, was also a moment for reconnection, as old and new friends celebrated the spirit of Diwali together. The event’s success was not just measured by its glamour but by the way it allowed global attendees to embrace and appreciate the beauty of Indian culture. For Falguni Shane Peacock, the Diwali Ball continues to be a celebration of tradition, fashion, and the spirit of togetherness.
