Finnish commercial, visual artist and magazine illustrator Laura Laine owns an easily recognisable and assertive style of artworks. She is particularly known for her surrealistic hand-drawn female figures based on the drawn line with their thin bodies and full, billowing hair. Her inspiration in the past have been Japanese manga and the works of Egon Schiele, Aubrey Beardsley, Anish Kapoor and George Condo. Laine’s glorious list of clients include Givenchy, Pantene, H&M, Zara, Sephora and more. She has also been roped in by fashion magazines and newspapers across the world. Some of them are Vogue Japan, Vogue Italia, Vogue Germany, ELLE, Harper’s Bazaar, GQ, The Guardian, The Telegraph and The New York Times. Laine’s work has been exhibited in Dubai, Tokyo, New York, London, San Francisco, Los Angeles, New Orleans and Helsinki, among other locations.
