JESSICA DURRANT – US-based fashion and beauty illustrator Jessica Durrant’s inspiration stems from her expansive sojourns across the globe, her interest in music, films, art, fashion, architecture, Scandinavian design and her life that she believes in living to the fullest. Durrant is a purist who doesn’t rely on technological intervention to create her artworks. She uses watercolour, gouache, inks and charcoal to create layers that give her work an emotional depth. Durrant’s style is feminine and emotional but at the same time, it has an enduring vulnerable quality to it. Some of the general themes of her illustrations are nature, beauty and double exposure. Durrant’s client list is incomparable and some of the bigwigs she has worked with are Louis Vuitton, Salvatore Ferragamo, Ralph Lauren, Diptyque, Lancôme Paris, Burt’s Bees, Elizabeth Arden, L’Oréal Paris, Kérastase, Avène, NYX Cosmetics, and many more. Her work has appeared in Season 2 of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and Emily in Paris and has been featured in various fashion magazines and books.
