Ace fashion blogger and entrepreneur Juhi Godambe recently tied the knot to her beau Siddharth Jain in an intimate ceremony held in the presence of their close friends and family. The #FSPbride gushes about her wedding day, her cocktail ensemble and all about it in a candid conversation with The Peacock Magazine.
[Q] Tell us about your wedding celebration.
Our wedding was an intimate affair at Mansion house, Alibaug. We had all the functions, starting with an at-home bridal Mehendi day, then a boho-themed Mehendi party, a Sangeet, Haldi and finally the wedding. It was a full-on four-day affair.
[Q] How did you go about planning your wedding?
We had amazing planners on board, FB Celebrations. We initially started planning our wedding a year ago, but since the pandemic hit plans kept changing. We were initially getting married in April 2021, but the lockdown was announced just 20 days before the wedding. So, we had to postpone the wedding. Then in June, around 15 days before the wedding when we felt things were easing and COVID-19 cases were decreasing, we decided to go ahead and get married. My amazing planners pulled off everything in just 15 days, keeping in mind all the elaborate decor I had requested for.
[Q] How did you decide upon your outfits?
I wore Falguni Shane Peacock for my Sangeet. My Sangeet theme was highly glam and inspired by burlesque. The decor was bold, with lots of feathers, red, black and metallics. And who better than Falguni Shane Peacock to make that perfect glam outfit! It was beyond what I had imagined.
[Q] Why FSP?
Besides the fact that Falguni Shane Peacock is one of the best Indian designer labels that we have today, they are also dear friends, and I knew they would make me feel nothing less than a princess.
[Q] Describe the moment when you saw yourself as a bride.
Outfit trials for any bride are immensely significant. I remember when I tried on one of my wedding outfits with my mother and mother-in-law around, it was really emotional. It suddenly makes you realise that things are changing in a bittersweet way.
