It’s hard to be romantic during a hectic time, but I think the best way to keep the romance alive while planning a wedding is to keep things in prospective. Remember this – You found that special person you want to spend your entire life with, and that’s something that you shouldn’t take for granted. Reminding yourself of how lucky you are, is the first and a crucial step in keeping the romance alive. When stress and frustration starts to creep in, (and it will, trust me!) remember that at the end of the day, you are planning an event to celebrate the love you share with your soulmate. That’s it! It’s not about having the “perfect wedding” where everything is planned to the T. It’s about starting a new chapter in your life with the one you love. If you can remind yourself of this, romance will come naturally. (back rubs and head scratches help too!) That said, don’t forget to take a pause from the wedding planning. I know you are in a time crunch and there are like a 100 things you have to do, but take a second and spend time with each other doing something other than discussing what type of flowers or color scheme fits best for the wedding. Whether it be through flowers or home-cooked meals, acknowledge and show appreciation for everything that your partner is doing.
